Terron Sims, II for Arlington School Board

How are you doing, Arlington voters?!

I’m running for School Board to focus attention on decision making that results in meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of each student, while being fiscally responsible.

I intend to do this by advocating for evidenced-based curricula, excellence in instruction and making critical decisions that truly prepare our students for their self-developed individualized learning and life pathways.

I’ve been a volunteer in Arlington and APS since 2006 in a wide range of roles and leadership positions.

My wife and I have kids at Yorktown and Swanson. Accordingly, I’m aware of the current challenges and realities within our classrooms and our communities.

As a West Point graduate and an Army veteran, I pledge to increase school board accountability, structure deliberate decision-making processes, return to responsible fiscal practices, and work to enhance the new management capabilities within a rapidly growing and evolving school system.

There is much work to do, and I am prepared to do it. I would greatly appreciate your vote in the upcoming caucus.
Thank You!!
